Our founding partners, Momanyi and Lydiah, go way back to their campus days, even though Momanyi was Lydiah’s senior by one year. These kindred spirits often shared perspectives on the legal practice environment, particularly on the frustrations of the unhealthy working environment in majority of law firms and the absence of ethical values in service delivery. By 2017, Lydiah, who had already transitioned from the law firm environment, coaxed Momanyi into setting up her own practice.
Momanyi reluctantly set up Momanyi Nyabonyi & Co. Advocates in January 2018, having never dreamed of setting up a legal practice. Lydiah provided support through acting as the Firm’s sounding board as well as providing accountability and oversight. It wasn’t long before Momanyi realized that this is what she wanted all along but never knew: an opportunity to determine the
nature of services and the kind of client care to offer.
With enthusiasm in 2020, Momanyi and Lydiah joined hands and registered the partnership, Morayo Advocates LLP. An oasis in the desert, our Firm is a welcome breathe of fresh air for clients who are keen on ethical legal representation and a haven for young lawyers joining and growing in the profession.
